This was the first official Throne of Mortality release, and technically the only official one, since everything else only contained demos in my eyes. This was recorded in September of 2005 on a cassette tape when Howard Eichenblatt (Sabbat) and I were jamming in my parents garage. I recall this taking place in late afternoon, because in the first take of “You Will Fucking Die” you can hear my sister Liz calling us in for dinner or something at 4:40 into the song. The tape starts with Howies’ idea of doing a Black Metal Cookie Monster parody, with me shaking a water bottle, you get the idea… Then the first take of “You Will Fucking Die”, and an interlude making fun of Eiman, who now owns the metal world in Eliminator, but at the time was doing a metalcore band, and we had just repulsed all the metalcore out of our systems. The tape finishes with an Andy Palladino parody of “finding people’s numbers and addresses”. The tape broke not very long after and was unheard and believed by myself to be unfixable. But since I’m a nostalgic fuck I actually kept the tape material in a box. In the summer of 2010 I got my girlfriend Laura, and after about an hour of trying to get it together we reconstructed the tape with a new box cover. The tape was in reasonably listenable condition, and is now digitally ripped!
In 2013 I created and printed artwork to match the used tape, in order to get accepted into the Metal Archives database. One of the rule was that it had to be a distributed tape, so I made them believe that it was.
